Destination Education is working with a fantastic college located in the London Borough of Islington who are looking for a Functional Skills English Teacher on a part time basis. The college is one of the largest offering an extensive range of academic and vocational courses for all ages.  They have a diverse student body with a committee dedicated to student equality, diversion and inclusion.  They also have a range of clubs, sports academies and societies from football to poetry club.

The role will be starting in January on a 3 day a week basis (Wednesday to Friday) and the ideal teacher will be required to teach ICT at entry level 3 and some functional skills maths.  You will also be responsible for your own tutor group.
 
Key responsibilities/requirements of a functional skills English Teacher:-

• Plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning lessons to adult learners
• Predominantly teaching Functional Skills English with the ability to teach some Functional Skills maths lessons
• Teaching ICT at Entry Level 3
• Ensure that you develop effective resources and materials in accordance with the needs of the learners
• Must have a relevant teaching qualification and enhanced DBS check
