Description

Destination Education is working with a fantastic secondary school in the London Borough of Havering and they are looking for a Secondary Drama Teacher to teach KS3 & KS4.
 
The position will be starting in January on a full time basis. The Secondary Drama Teacher will join a small comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 16 with highly qualified teachers and support staff. The school's ethos and values aim to support students with their learning by developing their potential and preparing them for their future. They have a traditional and friendly approach, attaching great importance to good manners and approachable staff. They have exceptionally high standards, particularly with behaviour, their latest Ofsted had reported ‘pupils are well behaved, respectful and courteous’.
 
Ideal Secondary Drama Teacher:-

  • Good track record teaching Drama/Performing Arts across the UK curriculum at KS3 & KS4
  • Ensuring you have prepared relevant resources needed in order to effectively deliver the lessons
  • Deliver engaging and innovative drama lessons
  • The ability to manage behaviour and deal with challenging behaviour
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage with pupils and staff
  • Involvement in drama workshops/productions etc
