Vacancy: Part-Time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary School Teacher
Position: Part-Time (3 Days Per Week) Agency Temp
Start Date: Monday 24th Feb
Destination Education are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Primary Teacher, This Primary School are dedicated to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for all our students, where every child can thrive. This Primary School are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time SEN Primary School Teacher to join our team and support our students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored educational support to children with Special Educational Needs in a primary school setting.
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs and promote inclusive learning.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other staff members to ensure appropriate interventions and strategies are in place.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and other professionals as needed.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence, independence, and emotional development.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, including annual reviews and SEN-focused discussions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEN best practices and educational policies.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching students with a range of Special Educational Needs in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the different learning needs and appropriate teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to providing an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning experience for all students.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with specific SEN conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or speech and language delays.
- Knowledge of SEN assessment tools and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Ability to contribute to professional development within the team.
