Destination Education is currently looking for a Science Teacher for an 11-16 secondary school located in the London Borough of Newham.  The position is due to start in January and will be to cover a short absence (up to 6 weeks).

The school follow core values where they strive to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for all.  They are dedicated to providing first class education for young people in Newham, catering specifically for the learning styles and social needs of their students. In the last five years, students’ progress in English & Maths at GCSE has been above the national average.
They are now looking for a Science Teacher to join the school for a short term cover.

Responsibilities/requirements of the Science Teacher:

• Teaching students general science (physics, biology, chemistry) across KS3 & KS4
• Experience teaching the UK curriculum up to KS4
• Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
• Building and maintaining supportive relationships with students and staff, treating them with respect and consideration
• Must have relevant teaching qualifications i.e QTS/QTLS or overseas equivalent
