Destination Education is currently looking for an experienced Special Needs Teacher to join an exceptional secondary special needs Academy in North London.  They are an outstanding specialist academy with a post 16 and post 19 provision and their pupils have a wide range of learning difficulties.  The position will be starting as soon as possible on a full time basis and will be predominantly teaching students in the sixth form.  

The Special Needs Teacher will join a school that have been awarded advanced status by the autism accreditation award committee of the national autistic society and have been judged 'outstanding' in three successive OFSTED inspections both as a maintained school and as an academy.  

The ideal Special Needs Teacher:-

• You will be an experienced, confident, passionate and hardworking SEN teacher
• Must have a good track record teaching students with autism, learning difficulties and/or complex needs
• Previous experience in a secondary special needs school or sixth form college is essential 
• Any one with specific training or certificates in manual handling, autism, or epilepsy would be highly advantageous
• Must have relevant teaching qualifications (QTS, QTLS or overseas equivalent)
