Destination Education is currently looking for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional secondary special needs Academy in North London.  They are an outstanding specialist academy with a post 16 and post 19 provision and their pupils have a wide range of learning difficulties.  The Special Needs Teaching Assistant will join a school that have been awarded advanced status by the autism accreditation award committee of the national autistic society and have been judged 'outstanding' in three successive OFSTED inspections both as a maintained school and as an academy.

The ideal Special Needs Teaching Assistant:-

• You will be an experienced, confident, passionate and hardworking SEN teaching assistant
• Previous experience working with children with autism and supporting children with complex and challenging needs
• Ideally a background working in an education, healthcare or care setting would be desirable
• Any one with specific training or certificates in manual handling, autism, or epilepsy would be highly advantageous!

The Special Needs Teaching Assistant will join on a 1 year contract with the view to go permanent after the year. This a lovely specialist academy with supportive and friendly staff and good transport links.  This school can offer fantastic training and career progression opportunities!
